Hellooo!
Thought I'd write a little blog about last night, when I, together with my girlfriend, went to the movies to go see 'The Hunger Games'. 'Twas a fun movie, definitely one of the better ones I've seen in the past couple of years, and I certainly hope the next one comes out soon (for those of you that aren't in the loop: the hunger games is based on a book, part of a trilogy of books. so there :P). It lasted quite long so it was close to 1AM when we got out of the theater, but it was worth it and I actually never really felt like it was dragging on anyway; it kept me involved and entertained throughout.
Few points of criticism: I felt like the romance between Katniss (Ridiculous name by the way, always makes me think of catnip. or whatever. Anyone? No? Okay probably just me then :P) and the guy, Peeta, never really felt genuine at all, it was like she didn't really seem to like him at all and then suddenly she kissed him and was like close with him? I mean I get that the point of it was that she just wasn't sure about what she felt for him yet but idno, felt like they could've done better with that. And err, the camera-work for the fightscenes was pretty horrible. Shakey and shit. Reminded me of Quantum of Solace. And that movie sucked a LOT. But as my girlfriend pointed out they might've done that to keep it at a rating of 12+ instead of shooting it differently and getting a 'higher' rating because of the violent stuff being more graphical. Idno. Annoys me when they shoot fightscenes like that though. I mean, there's a fine line when shooting fightscenes that way. Don't cross it. Crossing it is shooting it in a way where you can barely tell what's happening. Don't do that please.
Anyway, that's about it. Seems like I'm bashing the movie quite hard now that I look at it, but I guess I'm just spoiled. Seen so many movies, I have the feeling nowadays I can't enjoy them as much as when I was a bit younger. I feel like because I know what a really good movie should be like, I compare all movies to that standard and am pretty much always at least a little disappointed. Oh well :-) You should definitely go see The Hunger Games though! DO IT!!!

edit: Oh and yeah, I know that at first the romance between them was just staged to begin with. BUT. It seemed like at some point she did start to actually develop some feelings for him. Or was she just being nice, to comfort him? If she wasn't just being nice (I personally didn't think she was) then where did those feelings come from all of a sudden? From him giving her bread once, ages ago?
edit2: So my girlfriend told me that in the book it's told as that she doesn't have any actual feelings for him. So she was actually just being nice then, I guess.

Layout worries part deux and stuff
Hiya! Wazzup?
I didn't blog last night, cause frankly I was too annoyed to. I had been spending ages on my layout, and wasn't getting stuff done. I'm by no means a coding whizkid so it takes some time for me to figure stuff out. I mean, I can figure code out by myself most of the time, but I can't write it myself so it's ofc. a bit more difficult for me to change code in a layout to get it the way I want it :'p anywho so I ran into some problems when the old template I was modifying, well.. there was too much wrong with it, truthfully. There was still a lot of stuff I wanted to change to make it into what I wanted it to be and frankly it didn't seem logical to try and do all that when it would probably be easier to just implement all the changes I had made to that template to another template which had some of the same flaws I had already fixed but lacked some of the ones I had yet to conquer. The thing (also) is that the ones I hadn't fixed yet were ones that I probably could've figured out eventually but I don't know, they at least posed a lot more of a challenge than the ones I already had. So I decided to start 'fresh' with a new template.
And then I quickly ran into another problem, when I tried moving the 'posted by x at <time> from bellow the blogpost to right below the title of it... This should be as easy as to hit customize and to edit the blog post gadget, move some stuff around, but it wasn't - not even close. So okay, for some reason it eventually unbugged and showed up right below the title. But ofc. the fun didn't end there :P the end of the 'posted by x' overlapped with the 'at <time>' bit. For no apparent reason! Seriously. I tried virtually eeeverything to fix this, but it's hard trying to fix something that random. The code seemed fine - I even compared it to the one on my previous template, where the text was below the title as well and displayed correctly. Nothing. Identical. I can't really be bothered trying to recall all the other things I tried, but it didn't work. In the end I was forced to add padding to have it display correctly, can you believe that? Oh well.
I did some other work on the layout just now, but I'm kinda tired of working on it (as I'm sure you can imagine given the struggle I went through to get this far, lol), so I'm gonna take a break until tomorrow evening when I can perhaps do some more work.
On a more fun note, I had my girlfriend over today and we watched (half of) the movie 'Se7en', with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. 'Twas fun :)

Layout woes
Hello again!
I've been working on my blog, and man, I never thought figuring out the layout to my blog would be such hard work! I've been working on my template for quite some time now and it's still not finished! Not to mention the time I spent searching the web for templates to begin with - it took forever to find a decent-looking one tbh. It quite frightens me how clueless most people apparently are when it comes to layouts and whatnot. All I could were these waaay over the top templates with way too many colors. Seriously, I guess that's a good idea if you don't want people to read your blog, but come on, really? Finally I landed on this template! But I've already had to do quite a bit of work to get it to how it is now, haha. And as I said I'm not done yet either. Oh well. Guess I'll be extra happy when I get it finished :-) Here's a link to how the template looks by default: click.
As you can see I tweaked the page quite a bit, from the fonts to removing a bunch of stuff. Well, I'm beat! Time to watch some Voetbal International and hit the sack! ;)

Backpains :-(
So this is quite annoying; I helped my girlfriend move a while back and since then my back's been hurting like mad! I was kind of staying at her place so I had to move as well -sort of-, and even before the actual move with all the preparations that had to be made my back already started hurting a little bit.
Since the actual move itself however it's gotten much, much worse. I can barely bend over towards my laptop (the way I'm sitting right now) to type without it hurting. It's pretty damn annoying since I've got a lot that needs doing and with my back hurting I really don't feel much like getting all active and stuff and getting around to doing said things. I.e. my room needs cleaning up, but I can't really do anything right now with my back hurting like this... every time I put any remote effort into anything, it starts hurting more and more. If it's like this in my early 20's, how bad will it be when I'm like 50? Omg :'p
I feel like an old man. :')

Hello everyone! I'm new to the blogosphere(?) :P My name is RainbowMonkey7, or RainbowxMonkey7 :)
I plan on blogging about whatever is on my mind, whatever I'm busy with; just whatever really. Random stuff. I might blog about super smash brothers, a game I enjoy playing a lot. I might blog about rooting a HTC Legend; something I did recently which had a bit of a learning curve. Maybe I could help other people going through the same thing? Oh well ^^; We'll see =))
I hope to meet some interesting people on here, and I hope they will also find me interesting ;P well, interesting enough to read my stuff anyway :D English isn't my first language btw, so if I sometimes seem a bit off it's most likely that :-)
Not exactly sure how to finish this up, so I'll just say goodbye and until my next blogpost! :)
